MOPS of DeKalb (Mothers of Preschoolers)
Starts: December 1st, 2008 , 8:45am - 11:00am
Location: First Lutheran Church (DeKalb)
Details: Registration is currently open for the Fall/Winter semester of DeKalb MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) with fees of $40 per semester. The initial meeting will be held on September 8. We are excited about this upcoming semester’s MOPS program: we have some wonderful speakers, crafts, and discussion topics planned (such as time-saving tactics for busy moms, cooking hints and simple meal ideas, ways to teach children pre-reading skills, creating family traditions, and more!). We offer a welcome break, a chance to make new friends, and the opportunity to know that you aren’t the only mom who goes through the struggles and joys of raising young children. MOPS is dedicated to the message that “mothering matters,” and that moms of young children need encouragement during these critical and formative years. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once we reach childcare capacity, you will be placed on a waiting list and notified as soon as an opening exists. Childcare is included for children ages birth through kindergarten. MOPS meets every other Monday (September through May), beginning Sept. 8. Meetings are held from 8:45-11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in DeKalb. RSVP so that adequate childcare can be provided. For more information, call 815-758-0643 or visit http://www.MOPS.org.
